Buy Online Pickup In-Store: How It Works

For the 2012 Halloween season you can make your purchase online and pickup your order at your local Halloween Express retail store. For items your local store doesn't have in stock, you can have your order shipped to that store for pickup and in most cases, receive free shipping. Here's how it works:

Select Your Home Store

Click the 'Find a Local Halloween Express Store' link in the top right corner of the header of this site OR click the 'Check Store Availability' button on every product page.

You will be prompted to enter your zip code where you can select the store closest to you. Click the blue link that says, 'Make this Store your Home Store'.

Once you've set your 'home store', start shopping! Each product you view will have a Store Availability tab showing you the quantities of that product on-hand at the local store as well as the quantity available to be shipped to that store for pickup. You can use this information to decide which delivery option is best for you.

 

Multiple Delivery Options

If your local Halloween Express store is participating in the Buy Online Pickup In-Store program you'll see three options for delivery in your shopping cart: Direct Ship, In-Store Pickup and Ship-to-Store.

Direct Ship: This is the default delivery option. Selecting this option means we'll ship your order to the address you specify -- direct to you.

Store Pickup: If the item you're ordering is in-stock at your 'home store', you can elect to pickup your order locally usually the same day.

Ship-to-Store: If the item you're ordering is not in-stock at your 'home store', you can elect to have the order shipped to the store where you can then pick it up - typically in 3-5 days. In most cases, shipping is free for ship-to-store orders.

 

 

In-Store Pickup: Same Day or Next Day Pickup

For items that are in-stock at your 'home store', In-Store Pickup orders are typically ready for you to pickup within two hours of when you place the order online. This of course assumes the store is open at the time you place the order. If you happen to place your order at a time when the store you specified is closed, orders are typically ready for pickup within two hours of when the store opens the next business day. You will receive an email advising you when your In-Store Pickup order is ready for pickup. As an option, you may also elect to receive a cell phone text message alerting you when your order is ready for pickup at the store.

 

 

 

Ship- to-Store: 3-5 Days Delivery to Your Home Store

For items that are not in-stock at your 'home store', you may elect to use our Ship-to-Store service. When you select the 'Ship-to-Store' delivery option presented in the shopping cart, your order will be shipped to your 'home store' where you can then pickup your order at that store. This service is free for most items. There are however some limitations which include large props and over-sized items. These items are indicated on the product page as not being eligible for free shipping so additional shipping charges will apply for Ship-to-Store orders. Also, if your checkout total is less than $10, you'll see a shipping charge for your Ship-to-Store order. Note that free Ship-to-Store is available for stores located within the continental United States. You will receive an email advising you when your Ship-to-Store order is ready for pickup. As an option, you may also elect to receive a cell phone text message alerting you when your order is ready for pickup at the store.

 

 

Refunds & Returns

If you purchase an item online on this website and pickup your order at a local Halloween Express retail store (either same day or using our ship-to-store service), you can return the item to the SAME local Halloween Express retail store where you picked it up within 3 days for a refund of the cost of the merchandise (be sure to review these requirements and limitations). This refund and return policy applies ONLY to orders placed online and picked up at a local Halloween Express store using our Buy Online Pickup In-Store service.

As an option . . . Orders placed online and picked up at a local Halloween Express retail store may also be returned directly to Halloween Express in accordance with our 15 day return policy found here.
