Fourth Of July

The Fourth of July, or Independence Day commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. This very patriotic holiday is typically spent watching parades, having BBQ’s or picnics, going to carnivals or fairs and after dark, watching a fireworks display. Since the 4th of July happens in the middle of the summer months, most if not all the celebrations and activities that happen surrounding it take place outdoors.

During Fourth of July celebrating, it is common and popular to dress in the colors of the American Flag: red, white and blue. Beyond dressing in red white and blue, the colors of the flag are used nearly exclusively to decorate, whether it is on floats in parades, bicycles, or in picnic decorations.
