Gandalf was a Wizard who was sent to Middle-earth to oppose Sauron. During Gandalf’s 2,000 years in Middle-earth he grew to love the land and the people. He was especially fond of the Hobbits. Gandalf started a chain of events the ultimately resulted in the fall of the Dark Lord. He rode a famous white horse known as Shadowfax and carried a sword known as Glamdring.
