Video of how to create a creepy (yet pretty) female Zombie look using inexpensive makeup items. If you are a female looking for that perfect Halloween costume, sometimes you have a bit of a dilemma. Halloween is a great time to dress up as something scary and frightening; but obviously as women, we still want to look our sexy best, too. We’ve created a Zombie look that is indeed, quite scary as well as monstrous, but we’ve also kept in lots of pretty feminine details so you can still look hot while even as you scare all your friends! Zombies have resurged in popularity with the advent of several new television programs and feature films featuring these flesh craving creatures. The traditional Zombie stems from the Voodoo religion, with certain tenets believing that with special magic performed on a newly deceased person, he or she can return back to life. Unfortunately, however, living again isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, as the revived person is no longer as he was in life at all, but is now in a trance-like, almost hypnotic state with morbid designs being the only thing on his or her mind. Zombies lose all sense of self and seem to only be focused on one thing--obtaining and devouring human flesh, their favorite part being the brains. If you are looking to create a female Zombie this Halloween that is still pretty and feminine, as well as being scary, here are our step-by-step instructions on how we created this truly amazing look: The items we used to create this female Zombie look are:
Follow These Steps to Create Your Own Female Zombie Look Step One: Using Mehron’s Foundation (#DD05) mixed with the white color foundation, (or just go a couple of shades lighter than you normally would wear), apply this all over the face with a damp sponge, blending well. Apply to the neckline if desired. Step Two: Using Mehron’s Creamblend makeup stick in Purple, (#DD107) contour the face at the top and sides of the head, under the cheekbones, under the lower lip and on the sides of the nose. This will create some truly ghoulish looking shadows on the face. Step Three: Using INtense Pro Pressed Powder in Tornado (#DD160), apply this color with a damp sponge tip applicator to the eyelids, going all the way up to the browline. Apply under the eyes as well in order to create a deep, sunken-in effect. Step Four: Using Mehron’s E.Y.E. Cream in Black (#DD107), deepen the shadow on the eyelids and in the crease of the eyes. Step Five: Using Mehron’s Detailz Liner in Black (#DD509), line the upper and lower lids in order to make the eyes really stand out and give them more dramatic appeal. Step Six: Apply false eyelashes. We’ve used Glitter Eyelashes (#EA90), but you can use any style or type that you like, according to your taste and comfort level. Step Seven: Using a lip brush, apply Mehron’s E.Y.E. Cream in Black (#DD107) to the lips. The black lips will create a very spooky effect that is perfect for a Zombie girl. Step Eight: Using Mehron’s Coagulated Blood Gel (#DD533), apply blood as sparingly or as liberally as you choose, depending on the level of gore you want your Zombie look to have. Keep in mind that Zombie’s are messy; you can be equally so when you put your fake blood on. Now it’s time to put on your Zombie costume. We have many costumes that are perfect for your Zombie look from Zombie Prom Queens to Zombie School Girls. Our look in this video was created using the Bride of Darkness costume (#FW1424). Have fun and be creative as there are many looks that can easily be transformed into a perfect female Zombie! For more zombie costume suggestions, check out our Zombie Costume section. |
