In Greek mythology Medusa was one of the three Gorgon sisters, daughters of Phorcys and Ceto. While her sisters were immortal and lived in the caverns beneath Mount Olympus, she was mortal. She was a priestess in the temple of Athena, the chaste goddess of wisdom. It is believed by many that Medusa was once so beautiful that not only did mortal men covet her, but even Poseidon, mighty god of the sea, desired her. It was her beauty that would be her undoing. Poseidon came to her in the Temple of Athena and arguably ravaged the poor maiden. This heinous act enraged Athena so much that she transformed Medusa’s beautiful hair to venomous serpents and her face so terrible to behold that the mere sight of her would turn men to stone.

nice dress

Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Put On, Stylish

Cons: Not exactly what I was expecting

The dress was nicer quality than I was expecting but the headress and armband where not as nice as expected. I was expecting resin or cheap metal for these items and it is actually cheap plastic for the headress and fabric coated wire for the armband.

Pros: Easy To Put On, Unique - Gets Attention, Worked well for my purposes

Cons: Uncomfortable

Considering that this costume was my second choice, it works well. The costume fits every where perfectly except for in the bust area (then again I have that problem with everything). Overall, like I said...it works.
