Is the picture on your website exactly the same as what I’ll receive?

Usually, yes. However variances in manufacturer’s production runs may slightly alter the costume style. These changes, are beyond our control and subject to change without notice. We work hard to update our website descriptions and images as soon as we become aware of variations but manufacturers do not always notify us in advance. In most cases the first we know about a style change is when a customer brings it to our attention. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

How do I determine if a costume is the correct size?

If there are different sizes available, you will see the available Size options in the "Place Order" box on each individual product page (see below graphic as an example of how a product with size options looks). If however there is no place to enter a size, the item is then a ONE-SIZE fits most item and you should look in the product description for more details on sizing. For most one-size items, there will be an indication of size in the product description or in the product title.

It is important to understand that seasonal costumes are typically designed to be worn for one or two events. They are not professional, theatrical grade costumes and are not priced as such. So while the sizing information provided by the manufacturer is generally accurate for the measurements indicated, a seasonal costume will rarely fit every person as if it were tailor made for that person. This simply means that even though a costume may fit based on waist or hip measurements, it doesn't mean the inseam length or sleeve length will fit every body style with the same waist measurements. In some cases, alterations may be required and in others, you may need to order another size. And because seasonal costumes tend to run small, we suggest buying the larger size when in doubt.

Please note that different manufacturers vary their sizing slightly. If in doubt between two sizes, it’s usually best to order the larger size. If you see sizing information in the Product Description of an item, that information always over-rides any information found elsewhere on our site as the sizing information in the product description is specific to that single costume and only that costume. Note too that body suit costumes are intended to be tight fitting. Some manufacturers have a special sizing chart. You'll find a link to the special sizing chart (if available) under the "Place Order" box found on every item.

If an item is out of stock, when will it be back in stock?

Our website is designed to show inventory levels in as close to real-time as possible. This means that if you see an item on our website and there is an "Add to Cart" button displayed for the item, this item is in stock and available to be purchased. We try to make sure we are never out of stock on any certain item but occasionally, we run out of stock on items – particularly with popular items and the closer it gets to a holiday. When an item is out of stock, our website will not allow you to purchase it. You'll notice that the "Add to Cart" button does not appear for the item and there is a bright red "Out of Stock" message displayed for the item. Unfortunately we rarely get advance notice of when any particular item will be back in stock so we are usually unable to advise you of when an item will be back in stock.

If you'd like to be notified by email when a particular item is back in stock, simply click on the "Notify me of updates" link found below the "Place Order" box on each product detail page. You can also manage the product notifications from within your account. Our inventory levels are constantly changing so if an item is out of stock one day, there is a good chance it will be back in stock within a few days.

How can I find out more about a costume?

If you find an item you are interested in and would like to know more about that item, you can click on the item name or the picture of the item itself and that will take you to a Product Detail Page. In the Product Detail Page, you will be presented with additional information about the specific item. Unfortunately, we get very little information about the costumes from the manufacturers beyond what is already presented online so while we are always eager to assist, in most cases we will not be able to provide you with more information on an item than what you see listed on our website.

Can I make a purchase for someone else?

Yes. You may purchase an item from our website and have it shipped to another address which is different from the billing address on your credit card.

How do I check pricing and availability of an item on your website?

Our website displays the most current information available on every item. If the item is out of stock, the system will not allow it to be ordered. If you think there is a mistake with a price you see on a particular item, please email us the item number along with a brief description of what you think the pricing error is and we will investigate. : With over 32,000 individual items for sale online, pricing and description errors occasionally do occur. We reserve the right to refuse the sale of any incorrectly priced merchandise offered on our website. Merchandise pricing errors are subject to change without notice. We however will not increase the price of any item in your order without first getting your permission. If you select an item that is incorrectly priced, you will receive an email advising you that we have cancelled the order and advising of the correct price. You can then decide as to whether or not you wish to purchase the item at the correct price.

Do you have a printed catalog you can mail to me?

Sorry. No we don't. has gone GREEN! Environmental issues aside, in today's electronic world by the time we printed a paper catalog many of the items would either be sold-out or the information contained in the catalog would be out-of-date. It simply isn't practical to print and distribute a printed catalog containing over 32,000 items. Plus, the cost of printing and distributing only serves to increase our operating costs which would have to be passed on to the consumer in the form of higher prices. One of the advantages of having our inventory online is that it can be kept current. If for example there is a price change or a color or style change, within seconds we can change the item description. That is not possible using printed catalogs. Perhaps best of all is the fact that with an online catalog, our inventory database is instantly searchable by anyone from anywhere in the world using a browser and the internet.

Can I place my order over the phone?

Yes! You can place your order by calling our Telephone Order Hotline at 859.282.5525. This line is dedicated to telephone orders only. The personnel at this facility can accept orders for shipment to the United States. We are not able to assist customers with any other questions nor can we accept international orders. Payment options accepted are Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express. Paypal is not an option for telephone orders.

I received a Credit Voucher. How do I use it?

A Credit Voucher can be used just like money on our site. Credit Vouchers are sent to you via email and contain a unique code which has a monetary value.Unlike coupons, a Credit Voucher's balance can be applied to multiple purchases over time. Any unused portion of a Credit Voucher will remain in your account. The Credit Voucher balance you have in your account can then be applied to any purchase you make with us. To use the Credit Voucher balance in your account, during the checkout process simply click the box to apply the balance to your purchase.

I received a VIRTUAL GIFT CARD. How do I use it to make a purchase?

A GIFT CARD can be used just like money on our website. GIFT CARDS are sent to the purchaser by email which can then be given to anyone to use to make a purchase on our website. The Gift Cards we sell are Virtual Gift Cards in that the Gift Card Key ID is all that is required to use them on our website during the checkout process. Gift Cards are not mailed or shipped. They are communicated via email. Once issued, the Gift Card ID is valid and can be used by anyone who possesses the Gift Card Key ID. Our Gift Cards can only be used to make a purchase on our website. They may not be used at any of the Halloween Express seasonal retail stores.

To use a Virtual Gift Card, simply enter the Gift Card Key ID during the checkout process on the payment page. If you don't use the entire value, the balance remains on the card which can be used for another purchase. Also, multiple denominations of Gift Cards may be used to purchase an item that is higher priced. For example, if the item you want to purchase is $82, you could apply a $75 Gift Card and a $10 Gift Card to the purchase.

What is the difference between a VIRTUAL GIFT CARD and a CREDIT VOUCHER?

Virtual Gift Cards

Gift Cards may be purchased by anyone in denominations of $10, $25, $50 and $100. The Gift Card Key ID can then be given to anyone to use just like money on our website. Gift Cards don't expire. As the name suggests, Gift Cards are most commonly purchased by consumers who want to give a gift to someone but they don't know what to purchase.

Credit Vouchers

Credit Vouchers may not be purchased. They can only be issued by our Customer Service personnel and may only be used by the person to whom the Credit Voucher has been issued (they are tied to a specific customer's account and email address.). They are not transferrable and expire in one year. Credit Vouchers are most commonly used in association with refunds.
