Creating a Pink Power Ranger Costume Look
What do you get when you combine a group of teenage do-gooder's that have amazing martial arts skills, with giant robots and spandex? The Power Rangers, of course! The Power Rangers have been lighting up children's Saturday morning television viewing since 1993 with their live action packed efforts at overcoming all evil forces at large. The Power Rangers are overachieving teenagers with the ability to "morph" into mighty superheroes with eventual superhuman powers and ultra hand-to-hand combat skills. Power Ranger teams are made up of many colors, including red, yellow, blue, green, white and pink rangers. The Pink Ranger has become the quintessential favorite amongst girls, both big and small, as she represents the ultimate in chick power, as the Pink Ranger is always a female.
If you want to create a truly original Pink Power Ranger makeup look that doesn't involve wearing a face-covering helmet or a mask, you've come to the right place. Our complete step-by-step instructions along with a few makeup items found at Halloween Express will quickly and easily guide you through the morphing process. Before you know it, your transformation into the Pink Power Ranger will be complete!
Follow These Steps to Create this Look
Step One: Begin with Mehron's Paradise Makeup in white. (#DD505) Add a little bit of water to the paint and load a small brush or sponge tip applicator thoroughly with the white paint. Brush the white paint carefully onto the eyelid area, extending the paint to meet the eyebrows. Line underneath the eyes with the white paint as well.
Step Two: Create the top white lines of the mask shape next. Using a narrow brush, line across the face at about the mid-forehead level. Line across the face again with the white paint at approximately the bridge of the nose level. Go over the paint a couple of times carefully to make sure that the white lines are very opaque.
Step Three: Using Mehron's Paradise Makeup in Light Pink, (#DD498) add a small amount of water to the paint and using a small brush, line just below the lower white line on the face. Fill in the rest of the entire forehead area with the Light Pink face paint. Paint the eyelid area with the Light Pink Color as well.
Step Four: Using Mehron's Paradise Makeup in black, (#DD489) thin the black face paint with a little bit of water. Using a very thin brush, load the brush thoroughly with paint and very carefully line along the lash line on both the upper and lower eyelids. Next, using a larger brush or sponge tip applicator, carefully apply the black paint (thinned with a little water) to the remaining open space on the forehead. Apply a second coat if needed to make the color very opaque.
Step Five: Apply false eyelashes with eyelash glue along the upper lash line if desired. (#EA80)
Step Six: Using a small brush, apply the Paradise Makeup in Light Pink to the lips.
Step Seven: Apply Paradise Glitter in Pastel Pink (#DD827) to the lips, using care not to get any inside the mouth. Gently tap this pink glitter on all the other pink areas of the mask in order to give your Pink Power Ranger look lots of additional sparkle and shimmer!
