It all started with a flirtatious, almost friendly phone call—but quickly it became apparent that this caller’s intentions were anything but amiable. “What’s your favorite scary movie?” the caller taunts…and so it begins. The caller turns out to be what really is a sadistic killer that begins murdering teenagers. This satirical take on gory horror films such as Halloween and Friday the 13th, combines comedy, mystery, and a heavy dosing of violence such as that found in popular slasher films.
Ghostface is the masked identity taken by Billy Loomis and Stu Macher during their murderous killing spree. The Ghostface mask has become very well known as associated with the Scream movie series. Patterned after the famous painting “The Scream” by Edvard Munch, the nearly melting face of horror is used effectively to scare potential victims as well as to conceal the identities of the murderers.
For a frightful and twisted take on Halloween, recreating Ghostface is going to bring a lot of terror into your next party. We all go a little mad sometimes!
